Digital Technologies
There is a strong focus on Digital Technologies at Our Lady’s School. Each student in Years 3-6 has a Chromebook allocated during school times, Junior students have 2:1 Chromebooks and our Prep students use a combination of iPads and Chromebooks.
As a school that utilises Chrome devices, students use a range of Google Suite apps to deliver and undertake their learning as well as accessing iPads and associated apps when the need arises. There are opportunities for students to show understanding in many ways, and digital technologies is just one part of the journey.
Cybersafety skills are taught from the beginning and develop according to their age and stage of school.
We have a range of robotic devices; BeeBots and Spheros that students utilise in a range of learning environments. These are tools that assist students develop coding skills learned in ‘plugged’ and ‘unplugged’ situations.
We have a range of Interactive Whiteboards, TV screens and a new interactive BenQ screen in our learning spaces that assist teachers deliver engaging learning for students.

It’s not the curriculum that we offer that sets us apart...
....it’s the manner in which it’s delivered. Our teachers actively and passionately explore the possibilities of making their teaching practice more innovative, engaging and fun at every turn. This is the single ingredient that drives the most growth in our students.
